All problems have solutions, and if you use your creative mind your mind will give you the answer to your problem.
If you want to be healthy and physically fit you know you need to do physical exercise and find a consistent way to work out your body. When you pump iron it puts stress on the muscle, which then causes muscles to become stronger over time.
Our minds are similar in that we sometimes need to pump “mental” iron to stress our mind into giving us ideas and solutions, and solve problems to put and keep us on the path to our goals.
There’s a writing exercise that Brian Tracy talks about called “Mastering The Method.”
In it, Brain Tracy tells us to write a question at the top of a page and then discipline ourselves to generate at least 20 answers to that question. It’s essential in the exercise that we write at least 20 answers. He suggests our first 5 answers will be easy, stock responses. After that it’s a bit more difficult because we have to dig for less obvious and more creative ways to answers our question. And it may get harder still if our minds go blank – but we should stay with the exercise until the end. No matter how long it takes. Sometimes it’s the 20th answer that pops us into solution, sometimes its sooner.
If for instance your question is: “How can I double my income to $100,000 over the next 24 months?” One of your answers may be “I work 2 extra hours each day.” Keep writing - the key response may pop out to take an action you hadn’t thought of before that will have big pays off for you. Once you intuitively know you’ve found the correct answer out of the 20 or more you’ve listed, you then take action on that step. This is how you problem solve when something isn’t working and you want to move ahead into solution.
Always remember your true potential is unlimited - whatever you have accomplished up to now has only been a preparation for the amazing things you can accomplish in the future.
Success boils down to the ability to solve problems and remove obstacles on the path to your goal. Fortunately, problem solving is a skill you can master with practice, assisting you to achieve your goals faster than you had before.
Charles Haanel wrote in “The Master Key System:”
“If you concentrate on some matter of importance, the intuitive power will be set in operation and help will come in the nature of information which will lead to success. Intuition arrives at conclusions without the aid of experience or memory. Intuition often solves problems that are beyond the grasp of the reasoning power. Intuition often comes with a suddenness that is startling; it reveals the truth for which we are searching.”
Use the Mastering Method along with your creative intuitive power to move yourself forward to making your dreams and goals into your reality.
